The report deals with the Frederick Douglass Home. The site, which was added to the National Park System to memorialize Frederick Douglass, is to be restored, preserved and interpreted for the benefit of the public. The report includes not only historical information but also much architectural data. It is anticipated that the house and related features will be restored and reconstructed to their appearance in 1895. Because of the very nature of this report the data it includes will prove to be of great value in achieving this objective. Once the site is restored the Frederick Douglass Home will be a historic house museum interpreting the life of its famous owner and his place in American history. (Author)
