Influence of Silica Fume on the Salt Frost Resistance of Concrete
A number of aspects have to be considered when predicting the salt frost resistance of concrete, especially when by-products such as silica fume is used. Some of these aspects are discussed in the report, such as the role of the salt in the frost attack, the choice of a suitable test method and the effect of admixtures on the test results.
