The skid resistance of selected Mississippi highways, portland cement concrete pavement, asphaltic concrete pavement and double bituminous surface treatment roads were measured with a MSHD made skid trailer based on ASTM Method No. 274-65T, but not having a positive water metering system. Study indicated that 73% of the high type roads tested had satisfactory or better skid resistance. (Author)
