Construction of an Experimental Segmental Bridge
Concrete segmental bridge construction seems to offer many advantages over other types of bridge construction both in bridge replacement programs and in new bridge programs. This report discusses the construction process of the experimental segmental bridge erected at the Pennsylvania Transportation Research Facility of The Pennsylvania State University. The basic objectives of the research were to document the construction of the bridge and to make recommendations for more efficient construction procedures.
