Structural Response of a 45 Deg. Skew Prestressed Concrete Box-Girder Highway Bridge Subjected to Vehicular Loading. Brookville Bridge
The main objective in this report is the evaluation of data collected in the field testing of a prestressed concrete box girder highway bridge of 45 deg. skew, and the comparison of its structural behavior with that of a right bridge of similar characteristics. The main instrumentation for field testing was devoted to the measurement of fiber strains at three girder cross-sections. Tests were conducted using a load vehicle closely conforming to AASHO HS20-44 loading, along with a mobile instrumentation unit owned by the U. S. Bureau of Public Roads. (Author)
