Recreation in Utah. A Profile of the Demand for Outdoor Recreation by Utah Residents
The study is intended to assemble and analyze basic data on the demand for Utah outdoor recreation by visitors to the state as an adjunct to the first study published in 1966 of the demand for outdoor recreation by Utah's residents. Each part of the overall study was independently tabulated and evaluated in order to determine whether the patterns of usage of Utah's outdoor recreation facilities by its own citizens differ from visitors from out-of-state. It was the belief of the project directors that this initial distinction between in-state and out-of-state demand would be of value in determining whether an appeal to Utah citizens to increase their use of state outdoor recreation facilities might require a different approach than an appeal made to the out-of-state visitor in Utah.
