The Proposed Construction of the Queen-Mulberry Street Project Located in Greenville, South Carolina
The project involves new four-lane highway to be constructed on new location in the city of Greenville, S.C., (Greenville County). Begins at West Stone Avenue and extends westerly and then southwesterly for approximately 0.7 mile, tying into the proposed McBee Street project. A fifth lane would be provided at intersections for turning and a 4 1/2 foot concrete sidewalk would also be constructed. The project involves the acquisition of 80 feet of right of way, displacement of approximately 34 buildings, and the temporary inconvenience to motorists and residences during construction. The new facility would serve as an extension to W. Stone Avenue traffic and provide better access to the central business district.
