The proposed project will consist of construction and operation of a new and improved radioactive waste calcining facility at the Idaho Chemical Processing Plant located at the National Reactor Testing Station in Butte County, Idaho. The facility will eventually replace the original calcining facility which has been operating since 1963. The estimated costs are $20 million and the schedule for operation is late 1977. Environmental impacts are discussed.
