The report is a summary of the field observations and failures which have occurred to date on the experimental continuously reinforced concrete pavement. The failures of the wire mesh reinforcement over the past three years are covered in considerable detail. The experimental pavement was opened to traffic in December 1962. The project is a six-lane divided highway and is part of Interstate 84 which begins at the New York State Line and ends at the Massachusetts State Line. (Author)
