This report deals with the historical data of Fort Union between the years 1863 and 1891, the fort's third and final stage. The third Fort Union possessed structural defects which rivaled those exhibited by either of the forts it replaced. A large portion of the report deals with these structural defects which included leaky roofs, poor construction, improper construction materials and inadequate maintenance and repair. The report includes photographs, maps, and construction plans.
