Two examples of energy conservation at the LOFT facility at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory are described, including the factors that motivated the plant engineer to conceive and institute the conservation measures. In one energy conservation measure, only an operating procedure was changed, and in the other a modification to the facility was required. (ERA citation 05:022499)
