Following a brief explanation of the possibilities provided by cogeneration, especially with regard to energy saving, the working of the guideline concerning the support of energy-saving and rational energy systems is given. The second part of this article deals with the rational building heating programme and contains the text of the guideline concerning the support of the conversion to district heating in buildings.
