A number of Swedish grain silos have sustained damage of such nature that their performance is jeopardized. In conjunction with investigations to find how the function of these silos could be improved by reducing the silo pressure, it was found that there is great uncertainty concerning the pressures to which a silo is subjected. The object of the project has been to analyse pressure conditions in a large grain silo.
