Instrumentation and Testing of Concrete Bridges Reinforced with High-Strength Steel
Instrumentation and field tests of two experimental reinforced concrete highway bridges, one, a four span continuous structure and the other, consisting of three simple spans, designed by the ultimate strength method and utilizing A432 high-strength steel reinforcing bars are described. Results compare favorably with those predicted from design theory and from laboratory tests of a half-scale model of one of the continuous interior girders and its associated deck slab. (BPR Abstract)
