The focus of this research effort was the development of a computer-aided tool to facilitate selection of standardized bridge systems for rapid design and replacement/construction of bridges. The availability of these standardized systems and the ability to access information on these systems can significantly enhance the capabilities of bridge design bureaus at the state, county and city levels to expedite the design process and reduce the start-to-finish time for bridge construction.
