Experimental investigations of bearing capacity of sand bases
Conclusions 1. The laboratory test results obtained for shear of superficial plates (h=0) on a fill sand base for c=0 compare satisfactorily with the methods of V. V. Sokolovskii and SNiP II-16-76 for the mixed shear scheme. 2. The tests performed under field conditions on undisturbed and fill soil compare better with SNiP II-16-76. 3. For further improvement of the analysis methods, it is necessary to carry out comprehensive investigations of the bearing capacity of bases under both field and laboratory conditions with deep and superficial plate models.
