Abstract This article suggests a comprehensive way of evaluating methods of compaction of collapsing (loess) and nonsaturated fill soils, which makes it possible to significantly simplify the choice of the most efficient methods of compaction, taking into account soil conditions, the production possibilities of construction organizations, and also design characteristics of the structures to be built.
