Water seepage in clay soils with large dimensions of specimens and small head gradients
Abstract To raise the accuracy of determining seepage properties of clay soils, characterized by the coefficient of permeability, the authors, in conducting an experiment, significantly increased the cross-sectional area of the specimen being tested and raised the flow rate of seepage water. As a result, the duration of compaction of these soils was calculated more precisely.
