Geotechnical basis of complex procedures for reconstruction and new construction
Abstract Characteristic features of the performance of weak clayey soils in the beds of reconstructed or new buildings are addressed. A variety of nonlinearly elastic models are proposed for the deformation of weak clayey soils. The influence exerted by various foundation-engineering procedures on the soil mass and existing buildings is analyzed numerically.
