Leveling of Pile Foundations Supporting Electric Transmission Lines by Temperature Control of Bed Soils
Abstract A method is outlined for the leveling and stabilization of pile foundations supporting electric transmission lines, which are subjected to nonuniform frost heaving, by controlling the temperature regime of the bed soil and heaving process. Information is given on results of field implementation of the method on projects involving the Northern Electric Grids operated by the OAO Tyumen' Énergo in the northern part of the Tyumen Oblast.
