Conclusions The demand for mechanical equipment and metal designs for domestic and foreign projects in hydraulic construction, including the repair of operating hydraulic structures, has increased steadily in recent years.The modern mechanical equipment installed in hydraulic structures, e.g., high-head gates, acquire all the characteristics of mechanisms from the operating conditions, and should be fabricated with tolerances assigned in machine building.An improvement in the quality and an increase in the output of mechanical equipment and metal designs housed in hydraulic structures requires comprehensive mechanization of the production process in fabricating this production at the plants.In the plants, the most critical problem is the widespread implementation of experience gained by leading establishments concerning the utilization of progressive technology, rigging, equipment, and work organization.In fabricating welded steel designs, the complex implementation of highly productive welding methods and the mechanization of assembly and alignment-adjustment operations is required to increase labor productivity.
