Conclusions The construction of a trestle with crabs of the service gantry cranes on the gated wall of the upper pool made it possible to operate the gates under conditions of incompleted construction, which provided start-up of all units on time.The use of service gates during construction eliminated the construction of additional temporary flashborads and corresponding consumption of metal.The use of structural elements of the concrete-buggy trestle of the Sayano-Shushenskoe hydrostation instead of the earlier specified reinforced-concrete elements of the bridge and crane beams considerably simplified fabrication and shortened the assembly time.The timely design developments for the mechanical equipment in the construction period, correlated to the actual conditions at the construction site, made it possible to accomplish the assembly works in the shortest possible time.
