Conclusions Damming of river channels at two or several sites with large final heads is possible and expedient, since it makes it possible to considerably facilitate the damming conditions, to reduce the volume of oversize stone and concrete blocks, and thereby to reduce the cost of damming works.An offset in plan between axes of the flows in the gaps at different sites facilitates redistribution of the total head between the damming embankments.The up-to-date level of organization of works and the presence of powerful equipment at the construction site of hydro developments make it possible to maintain the prescribed damming parameters. Constant fulfillment of the prescribed relationship between the width of gaps during damming is not a difficult task during damming.
