Process Control System of the Mutnovskaya Geothermal Power Plant
Abstract The experience of creating software and algorithms for automatic process control at the Mutnovskaya geothermal power plant (GTPP) on the basis of the Teleperm ME automation system is presented. The heat cycle and special features of the heat flow diagram of the power plant are briefly described. The engineering solutions used, the structure of the system, and the principles of process control at the Mutnovskaya GTPP are considered. Special attention is devoted to the turbine regulator that consists of several regulating units because of the great number of problems solved by control valves; each regulating unit solves control problems depending on the mode of operation of the power generating set.
