The use of modern methods in investigating slope deformations
Summary The working procedure and the consecutive steps taken in investigating landslides and other mass movements on slopes is described. Good experience with the use of cross-hole seismic measurements for the search for deep-seated sliding surfaces is reported. Attention is called to the advantageous use of the AGA laser geodimeters for a rapid and accurate control of mass movements on slopes, and to the possibility of using the AGA thermovision in investigating the conspicuous crevasses in rock slides.
