Restoration of cohesion in clayey soil dumps
Abstract The paper presents the results of experimental investigations of restoring cohesion on the contact surfaces of two fragments of clayey soil. It has been found that this cohesion depends on the magnitude of the force pressing together the fragments of the soil, the time of its operation and on the soil consistency. It has been established that the absolute value of restored cohesion occurs for the liquidity index close to zero, i.e. for the soil moisture content close to the plastic limit.
