The thousand year old building stone of romanesque prague
Summary The most ancient building and decoration stone in prague, the Cretaceous-Lower Turonian “opuka” sandy marlstone, was used in Bohemia for more than one thousand years—from the early Romanesque epoch. In this paper, results of the investigation of the opuka used in the medieval architecture of Prague are presented.
