Aggregates for bituminous concrete mixtures
Summary The article gives necessary information about the tests of aggregates of micro and macroconcrete of the mastic core of the earth dam of a settling pond in the Czech-Moravian Highlands in Czechoslovakia. As the most suitable petrographic type for the aggregates and flour two sorts of limestones of Devonian age were chosen from ten localities. The amount of 16% was determined as the most suitable ratio for the asphalt filler. Granodiorite was chosen for the aggregate of cut stone. Both microconcrete and macroconcrete were tested in the laboratory and under field conditions. The coefficient of aggregate hydrophility should be less than 0,9.
