Research on Life Cycle Monitoring of Long Distance Diversion Tunnel Based on NFC Context-Awareness
Abstract The life cycle monitoring of long distance diversion tunnel acts as an important foundation of the process control, maintenance, assessment and safety warning for tunnel rock engineering. Given the advanced technologies of internet of things, such as mobile computing, near field communication (NFC) and context computing, a new architecture with NFC context-awareness is proposed for the life cycle monitoring of long distance diversion tunnel. Based on it, efficient support for acquiring, interpreting, and accessing diversion tunnel contexts is provided. Focusing on the practical problems occurred in the life cycle monitoring of long distance diversion tunnel, the critical issues in this monitoring framework have been researched. The description model for monitoring data and critical processes are analysed and designed. In addition, an end-to-end platform has been developed for the life cycle monitoring of long distance diversion tunnel. The test results validate the feasibility of the monitoring system. The achievements of this paper could provide references for the Life cycle monitoring of long distance diversion tunnel or similar rock engineering. Technical support and scientific basis are also provided for its process control, safety warning, later inspection and maintenance.
