Definition of Movements in Arches and the Arches Massive Bridges

The purpose of article is definition of movements in arches and the arches of massive bridges. In the present publication the main results of a research of rigidity of arches of massive bridges are briefly stated and tables of ordinates of lines of influence of movements of sections of hingeless parabolic and chain arches of variable section are provided. Being guided by the assumptions that arch material elastic modulus constant, the hingeless arch is supposed linearly - a deformable system and arch support absolutely rigid we will conduct a research in rigidity of arches. Using the “determinant of movements” method, we will define movements of hingeless arches, having avoided at the same time predesign of statically indefinable system and to express any movement directly through movements of main system. As for movements in this system, we will make their calculation on mora, neglecting insignificant influence of curvature and shearing force. In article as an example influence of clamping of an axis on movements of steel concrete arches and the arch is considered.
