Experimental Study on Creep Mechanical Properties of Warm Frozen Soils

Warm frozen soils have significant creep properties and its creep deformation cannot be ignored for construction and maintenance of cold regions projects. To study the creep mechanical properties of warm frozen soils, a series of triaxial creep tests were carried out under different shear stress conditions and temperature conditions. The test results show that the creep curves of warm frozen soils can be divided into two types: decaying type and non-decaying type. As the temperature increases, the initial creep deformation, creep deformation and creep rate all increase significantly. The axial creep deformation at the same moment increases with increasing temperature.
