Early-age Cracking Control on Concrete with 3D Hooked-End Steel Fiber
Compared with concrete with ordinary steel fiber, the benefits of concrete with 3D hooked-end steel fiber are more obvious, such as higher ductility performance, lower drying shrinkage, and higher cracking resistance. In this chapter, early-age cracking control on concrete with 3D hooked-end steel fiber was investigated. The results showed that the addition of 3D hooked-end steel fiber decreased the early-age tensile creep of concrete when the content of fiber was less than 0.9%. An increase of the thermal treatment temperature also decreased the early-age tensile creep. A modified model for predicting the early-age specific basic tensile creep of 3D hooked-end steel fiber reinforced concrete with different thermal treatment temperatures was proposed. The addition of 3D hooked-end steel fiber increased the cracking resistance of concrete. The increase in curing temperature decreased the cracking resistance of 3D hooked-end steel fiber reinforced high strength concrete.
