Technical Problems Affecting Irrigation Systems in Southern Russia: Transformation of Irrigation Management
A presented analysis of the technical condition of land-reclamation systems in southern Russia indicates an increase in the physical wear of irrigation systems from an average of 77% in 2013 to 82% in 2020. The problems of increasing the operational efficiency and a technical condition of irrigation systems under the transition to the contemporary technological level of integral irrigation management are examined. Based on the comparative analysis of domestic and foreign practice, proposals on the improvement and development of the irrigation management model are given.
