Abstract The physicochemical properties of asphalt-resin-paraffin (ARP) sediments from the Aganskoe oilfield have been studied, and their chemical compositions have been determined in comparison with ARP sediments of another well of the same field and ceresin. The necessity of determining the physicochemical properties of ARPs for effective control of their deposition in oil-well tubing has been shown.
