Experimental Characterization of the Main Physical Properties of the Shot-Earth
Shot-earth and rammed earth technologies involve aggregates, water and, mostly, excavated soil, which from waste becomes a building material. Such technologies thus deserve a rising interest because of their green and eco-saving properties in realizing sustainable constructions. However, in order to widely employ shot-earth as a building material, the precise knowledge of its main physical and mechanical performances is mandatory. A first characterization of the main properties of the shot-earth is here provided through a broad experimental campaign.
