Summary for Theoretical Work How to Understand the Valence Fluctuating State
Abstract In the opening talk. P. Anderson reviewed the theoretical studies on the valence fluctuating states in a general stand point. To be complementary to his review, I would like to describe the theoretical studies in strong connection with the experimental results. It is practically impossible to talk about the whole subjects in a limited time and so the Ce-compounds are considered mostly because the theoretical studies are also concentrated on the Ce-compounds because of the simple 4f structure in Ceatom. In the present stage each person has his own opinion on each subject and again it is impossible to mention all of them. Therefore in the following I describe the situation mostly on my own viewpoint.
