Eine Plattform für die Wissenschaft: Bauingenieurwesen, Architektur und Urbanistik
Abstract The chapter focuses on redesigning mobility and connectivity networks and making the core of small towns walkable and usable by cyclists. The discussion will pay attention to urban infrastructure (roads’ design, public transportation, and utility services) and offer methods of traffic calming , public transit, parking, pedestrian and cyclist paths, and the strategic location of commercial and institutional buildings within a comfortable walking distance from residences. It will also provide case studies on how to link neighbourhoods with each other as well as the town centre.
