The Influence of Global Climate Change on Rainfall Intensity and Slope Stability in Tulakan Village, Pacitan
This study aimed to determine the influence of climate change on rain pattern variation for 45 years and slope stability in Pacitan, East Java, Indonesia. İt analyzed the decrease in slope safety factor with variations in rainfall and soil hydraulic conductivity. The analysis used a FEM and LEM coupled method that facilitated the soil hydrological conditions and slope stability. The results showed that the largest increase in rainfall intensity cumulative in 45 years is 8.8%, with a monthly maximum duration of 0.75%. This condition is believed to occur due to global climate change. One day of rain with an intensity of 302 mm could reduce the safety factor by 1%. Furthermore, rain accumulated for one month decreases the safety factor by 2.8–4%, while three months of accumulation causes a 5.5% reduction.
