Upgrading GTE-160 Gas Turbines at Moscow CPPs
The characteristics of PGU-450T combined-cycle units after reasonable upgrade of gas turbines to increase their capacity by 26 and 32.5 MW in winter and summer, respectively, are calculated. The upgrade will pay back in 3.5 – 6 years. The upgrade after two inspections of the hot gas path is the most profitable over the life of the gas turbine.
