Electrochemical polishing of total hip prostheses
Discusses the materials used for replacement. Suggests ways treatment heads prostheses of titanium alloy Ti6Al4V. Preliminary Operations performed on the implementation of heads CNC lathe Gildemeister CTX 400. The following operations are grinding, polishing, mechanical and electrochemical polishing. After electrochemical polishing roughness obtained approximately Ra = 0.05–0.15 µm. An increase participation of the carrier surface after electrochemical polishing by 25–30% compared to the surface after grinding. Also received a higher gloss of about 20% compared to the surface after mechanical polishing.
