Production: Generating Photogrammetric Outcomes
The last chapter discussed issues related to the generation of photogrammetric products. For example, DEM/DSM/DTM and orthoimages are two keyproducts of digital photogrammetry. Digital imaging is the origin for generatingphotogrammetric outcomes. The basic radiometric and geometric properties ofdigital imaging are discussed. Image matching techniques towards 3D objectreconstruction is a key target in photogrammetry. The various matching techniques are deliberated while the role of interest points and operators are analyzed. Inaddition to that, dense image matching algorithms are also considered in this chapter, both from open source and commercial point of view. Point cloud and its processing is also discussed. Orthoimage production workflow is analyzed, as a result to deliver. In fact, it is an image geometrically corrected, in terms of camera tilt, lens distortion and object relief.
