Structure and properties of polypropylene-elastomer blends
Abstract For a given polypropylene (PP)/elastomer composition, the melt rheological behaviour, the phase structure in the melt and, after crystallization, the mode and state of dispersion of components, the crystalline structure and texture, and the adhesion between matrix and dispersed domains are the key parameters. The properties of PP/elastomer blends therefore depend on the following factors related to [1, 2]: 1. the molecular characteristics of both components (constitution, configuration, molecular mass and molecular mass distribution); 2. the blending, processing and crystallization conditions.
