The insufficient grouting and strand corrosion can affect the flexural behavior of prestressed concrete beams. An experimental study with twenty prestressed concrete beams is designed to study the effect of grouting defects and strand corrosion on the flexural performance of prestressed concrete beams. Corrosion effects on concrete cracking, post-cracking stiffness, ultimate strength, failure mode, and ductility are then clarified by the flexural test, and a coefficient is introduced to quantify the incompatible strain between corroded strand and concrete.
