Accurate Vehicle Simulation in Logistic and Manufacturing Planning
Abstract This paper outlines the need of accurate vehicle and traffic simulation in the field of logistic and manufacturing planning. Requirements, existing solutions, and their enhancements will be described, and their abilities will be discussed. Finally, the results of bringing together the planning software suite MALAGA with SUMO, in order to provide a logistic planning suite enabled with accurate vehicle movement, will be described.
