Evaluation of Endothelium Regulation of Vascular Tone
The problem of the endothelial function (EF) evaluating is currently very relevant, however, the most widely used and recommended for this method of D. Celermajer today does not satisfy specialists, due to the complexity of the technique, low accuracy and instability of the results obtained. An analysis of the endothelial function assessment by the D. Celermajer method was carried out. The main sources of EF estimation error are determined and the ways of their neutralization are proposed. Improving the accuracy of the endothelium function assessing by the D. Celermajer method is impossible, while maintaining the ultrasonic method for assessing changes in the diameter of an arterial vessel. To simplify the research methodology and improve the accuracy of EF assessment, one should switch to the use of rheographic data. The rheographic method makes it possible to neutralize the identified sources of error in evaluating EF and improve the quality of the assessment.
