Earthquake Disaster Simulation of Typical Supertall Buildings
Abstract The earthquake disaster simulation of tall buildings can be implemented based on the proposed high-fidelity computational models, high-performance computing algorithms, and visualization techniques developed in Chaps. 2 and 3 . In this chapter, two typical supertall buildings are taken as examples to study the earthquake-induced failure modes, collapse processes, and the corresponding collapse mechanisms. The first example is the Shanghai Tower, being the tallest building in Shanghai with a height of 632 m.
