Application of the Method of Visualization of Polyharmonic Vibration Structures

Experience in using the method of visualization of polyharmonic vibrations, based on the use of modern photo- and video-recordings, is examined. Mathematical processing of the high speed video record of the vibrations of an object under study makes it possible to increase the scale of recording of the vibrations, with amplitude of several tens of microns, to a level perceptible by the naked eye, which provides the capability to see an overall picture of the vibrational state of a structure and, in this manner, determine optimization paths. The method being studied was tested on a number of power industry facilities.
