Substructuring Method for Eigensensitivity
In this chapter, the eigensensitivity equation is derived based on the reduced eigenequation of the substructuring method developed in Chap. 2. Only the derivatives of the master modes of one substructure are calculated, and the derivatives of the discarded slave modes are compensated by the derivative of residual flexibility. In consequence, the derivatives of the master modes and residual flexibility are assembled to compute the eigensensitivity of the global structure. The first-order derivatives of eigensolutions are formulated first, and the second-order derivatives and the general high-order derivatives will be introduced in the next chapter.
