Abstract The high-rise tower of OUB Centre at Raffles Place, Singapore, when completed, may well be up for the title of world’s tallest building outside of North America. As is usual with such high-rise buildings, the structural system of this tower was greatly affected by the unique architectural parameters. The steel skeleton was finally chosen employing the composite system efficiently at the lower part of the structure as a result of the practical study of construction costs. The result of the space frame analysis of this asymmetric and slender structure is briefly discussed together with some topics from the structural design through the erection work.
