On the Analogy between Filtration Flow of Newtonian Fluid and Free Flow of Micropolar Fluid
Abstract Analytic solutions of boundary value problems have been compared for two kinds of flow, the filtration of a Newtonian fluid in a Brinkman medium and the free flow of a micropolar fluid. Both the flows are considered in a plane and a cylindrical channel with impermeable walls, where the no-slip condition is applied. An analogy between these solutions has been revealed. The conditions for equivalence of the flows have been formulated.
